Interdistrict Transfers
INTERDISTRICT TRANSFER STUDENTS
Interdistrict Policy and Procedures:
INTERDISTRICT
Students and siblings attending the Gold Oak Union School District on a current, approved interdistrict transfer shall not be required to reapply for admission and the agreement will be effective through the grade span of their current school. Interdistrict applications are required for new transfer requests and for students changing schools, or those in transition from elementary to middle school (new grade span).
If student and/or sibling are continuing due to employment, you need only submit an Annual Verification of Employment form with proof of employment.
Applications for interdistrict transfers are granted based on space availability at the requested school. The first step in this process is for the prospective student to obtain an approved interdistrict transfer application from their district of residence.
Transportation is not provided, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to provide transportation to and from school.
Applicable Timelines for processing a request:
- For an interdistrict transfer request received by the district 15 or fewer calendar days before the commencement of instruction in the school year for which the transfer is sought, the district will notify the parent/guardian of its final decision within 30 calendar days from the date the request was received.
- For an interdistrict transfer request received by the district more than 15 days before the commencement of instruction in the school year for which the interdistrict transfer is sought, the district will notify the parent/guardian of its final decision as soon as possible, but no later than 14 calendar days after the commencement of instruction in the school year for which transfer is sought.
INTRADISTRICT
Intradistrict applications will be required for any new requests including transition from elementary to middle school. Students continuing on intradistrict transfers will not be required to reapply for the following year and the agreement will be effective for the grade span of the current school or expiration date indicated on the form (if applicable).
